Create and publish an event
Last updated: July 5, 2026
To start selling tickets, build the event from the producer dashboard and select Publish on the last step.
Build your event
From your producer dashboard, select Create Event. The builder will walk you through the build process:
- Basics (Title, date, time, capacity)
- Location (Venue name and address)
- Image upload (Optional but highly recommended)
- Description
- Ticket types and pricing
- Finishing touches (Optional brand color and featured talent)
Your work saves as you go. The builder creates a draft the first time you select Continue or Save draft & exit, and continues saving your changes after that.
Get your URL right before publishing
Your event URL comes from the title (for example, yourname.ticketpill.com/best-event-ever). You can check it under the title field while the event is still in draft mode.
The URL is locked once the event goes live. There's no way to change it later, so make sure the title (and the URL it generates) is right before you publish.
Requirements to publish
The Publish button will only work if you have:
- A title
- An event date
- At least one public ticket type
- A connected Stripe account that can accept payments
If Stripe isn't ready
You can draft an event before Stripe is connected. Just save it as a draft and come back once your account is ready.
Publish and notify subscribers
When you select Publish, you can choose if and when to email your subscribers:
- Notify now sends the announcement as soon as you publish.
- Don't notify publishes without sending an announcement.
- Notify on a date schedules the announcement for a future time (it sends within an hour of the time you pick).
Select Confirm and your event publishes right away. You'll land on the event's Overview tab, where you can keep editing, add discounts, or share it.
