Check in ticketholders using the box office
Last updated: July 6, 2026
Open the box office tab for your event on any device with a camera and you're ready to start scanning tickets.
Log in to the box office or hand off to your staff
Your staff doesn't need your TicketPill login info to scan tickets.
From the Box Office tab in your producer dashboard, set a box office passcode for the event, then share the check-in link and the passcode with your team. They enter the passcode on the check-in page and can scan, search, and add walk-ups without full account access.
Scan tickets
From the Scan tab on the check-in page, point your camera at the attendee's QR code.
- Green with a checkmark means their ticket is valid.
- Amber means they're already checked in (with the time their ticket was first scanned).
- Red means the ticket isn't valid and wasn't issued by TicketPill for this event. Make sure they have the right event ticket open.
A live counter at the top shows how many ticketholders are checked in at any given moment.
If someone can't find their ticket
- Select the Search tab on the check-in page.
- Type the attendee's name in the search bar.
- Select their name, then Check In.
Add a walk-up attendee
- Select the Add Guest tab on the check-in page.
- Enter the guest's name.
- Enter an optional email address and note.
- Select Add & Check In.
If you add an email address, they'll receive a confirmation email and future attendee messages.
Undo a check-in
Check someone in by mistake? Right after a scan, select Undo on the result card.
To reverse an earlier check-in, find the attendee on the Search tab, select their name, and select Remove check-in.
Print a door list
If you won't have reliable internet or want a backup, you can print a door list:
- Select the Box Office tab on the producer dashboard.
- Select View door list.
- Sort the list as you'd like and select Print/Save as PDF.
